Christine Eve Anton was born into royalty. Mob royalty, that is, and it took a lot for her to realize that her upbringing was essentially a really long episode of The Sopranos minus the cutting to black halfway through the episode. Not that Christine really thought that could happen, because cutting to black usually meant death in real life -- especially when she started to learn what her father Tony really did for a living. Being born into the infamous Anton mob family meant a lot of different things, but it mostly mean that through New York, she was treated differently. She was treated like she was a princess, a queen, and while some people might actually like that type of treatment, Christine hated it.

While her mother would placate herself with wine and a collection of 'designer drugs', Christine played the role of the perfect daughter. She did everything that she could to learn what her father was doing, but also careful to not actually get herself involved in any of his dealings, so not to implicate herself. The more of a role she played, the closer to her father that she got, and it made things complicated -- especially when he proved to be a pretty decent man and father outside of the mob ties that he had. It made Christine conflicted on what she knew was right, and what she knew was wrong. Could she really betray her family, her father, when this was the life she knew?

That decision was made clear to her when she was told she was arranged to be married into another mob family, a way to connect the two families and call a truce. At first, she tried to go along with it, but she was only 16 and she shouldn't have to be married to a man that she didn't know or love. Especially when said man was 19 years old, and what they were doing was against the law. She protested to her father, but he turned on her quickly, telling her that she had to go along with this, or she'd be dead to him. That he had big explosive plans for her wedding reception, and that was when it clicked. She was being used as a pawn in his awful game for power, and she didn't want any part of it.

She had figured out years before that there was an FBI informant that was placed in the family, working his way up the ranks. She had confronted this man two weeks before the wedding, and when he protested, she showed him that she had hacked into his communications and proved that she knew who he was. As he protested that he could have her arrested for a federal crime, she told him she didn't want him to blow his cover, she wanted him to help her get out, and she would help him in return. Even though she was only 16, she knew enough of watching her father and others how to negotiate her own terms, and the FBI agent found himself rather impressed; they agreed on terms, and they agreed on a plan to stop the explosions at the wedding and get everyone arrested, while getting Christine out.

Somehow she had expected something to go wrong in the plan, but it didn't. Everything went well, or well enough when you're getting the only family you've ever known arrested. She played her part well, that she didn't know what was going on, that she was outraged, and how fucking dare they do this. Her father believed her, promised that he'd get out of jail and come protect her, and she dutifully called out 'daddy!' as she was pulled in one direction by the agents and he was thrown into an armored car. As soon as the car left, and she was in a safe distance from everyone, she pushed out of the agent's grip and promptly threw up in the bushes. She knew she had done the right thing, she knew she had helped take down a mob family, but it was her family. And now...she had nowhere else to go.

Instead, she was surprised to learn that she could stay with the FBI agent who had been in the family with her. The man, about 56, had two teenaged daughters of his own, and he knew that being around girls her age in a normal upbringing could help her. Christine agreed, and she went to live with him for a while, as they worked out the issues of her identity and schooling. She finished out high school in New York, and the FBI helped to place her in witness protection, giving her a new name.

Only, Christine didn't want a new name. She didn't want a new life. She wanted her life and she wanted to take it back. And so, she decided to do just that.

Christine found that settling into a live without riches and power was rather strange. She had to change the way she viewed the world, and while it wasn't difficult, it was just interesting. She kept her head down and studied hard, and decided that she wanted to live her life on the right side of the law. She ended up graduating with a bachelor's degree in business from Harvard University, and immediately went into researching the type of job that she wanted. All while trying to keep away from those who wanted her dead. So, she needed a change. Honestly she wanted her life, her old life back.

She needed a change of scenery. So...it was off to Las Vegas, Nevada she went. Luckily, she had managed to get into a bank account the FBI had no idea about (or they did, and just didn't care), and Christine cleaned it out, putting into her account. So, now she had the money. She had the time. Why not go to Vegas? This would be the main reasoning for all of her big decisions in her life from here on out.

Arriving in Las Vegas was not as good as Christine had thought it would be - she managed to live in a hotel for a while before she was forced to try to find her own place, and there was nothing and no one that would hire her for stage direction, or to even manage a show which was something she would have prefered to do. Every job she applied for, everyone told her "you're too pretty to be backstage, you should be under the lights." Under desperation, Christine finally agreed and with the help of another Harvard graduate who had traveled out to Vegas with her, Christine auditioned for a burlesque show.

She had been told that Las Vegas would find a way to dig its claws into her, but Christine had no intentions of letting that happen, and she was more than being able to fight off what Vegas might try to do to her. The next few years, Christine built up a name for herself as a burlesque dancer, and even managed to share the stage with Dita Von Teese for a few nights as an opening act, and did some modeling for Bettie Page Clothing. But when the opportunity came up to go back to Boston and be the star at a club there, well she couldn't say no.

But the position to star in a club was nothing but a lie; it was under a ruse of men who wanted her dead having found out what she did when she was younger working with the FBI. It seemed that no matter what she did, her family still followed her across the country, as much as she hated it, even if they were dead or in jail. As the men came to corner her, her "fight or flight" instinct kicked in, and she fought back, with all that she had. There were three men, and she managed to take down two (though not without being badly hurt herself) and it was just her and the last man. And as she stood face to face with him...he revealed himself to be an undercover FBI agent, and the two people she had just knocked unconscious were two men he had been after. He told her that she had a pretty good knack for fighting, and was she interested in learning more about protecting herself?

She said yes in a heartbeat, and helped the man bring them two men for his arrest. From there, she worked with him to identify men from the mob who would still come after her, and he helped to train her and give her ideas on how to protect herself, and they ended up sharing some rather close moments over the years. And while the training was good, and the sex was amazing, she wasn't going to commit to anything more. Which, he understood; and it was perhaps the most equal relationship with a man she had ever had.

Which, was what made it harder when he was killed by a mobster he was trying to bring in; and with Christine right there when it happened, she took her revenge. Her first kill, and as the police came in and started to investigate what happened,Christine found she didn't have any regret for what she did. She only regretted that she didn't see it coming, and so she couldn't have stopped it. But she wasn't a superhero, no one was.

After the investigation ruled that the killing was justified (and she had paid her way through the police department to make sure that happened), she decided to give up the hunt for others in the mob that might come after her or wronged her. She had already made it known not to fuck with her, and there were some men who had been unloyal to her father that suddenly were loyal to her thanks to her actions. Thus, she decided to move on in her life. She decided to start anew.

She rented a storefront on Newbury Street, and she opened up a lingerie shop, keeping things nice and low key. Keeping herself out of the spotlight...the best that she could. But of course...that's not something she could really promise, could she?

But trouble always found Christine, and she'd be lying if she said she didn't actually enjoy that a little bit. But only a little bit.
amora the enchantress
Amora was born somewhere in Asgard, her parentage unknown. While still in adolescence, she ran away to the land of the Norns and apprenticed herself to Karnilla, one of the most powerful sorceresses in all the Asgardian dimension. There she studied all the basic arts of Asgardian magic until Karnilla expelled her for being too undisciplined. She picked up further mystical skills from seducing other Asgardian magi and wizards.

Centuries ago, Amora enlisted Brunnhilde, leader of Odin's Valkyries, in her plans of conquest. However, Brunnhilde soon became aware of Amora's immoral ends, and sought to end their partnership. Amora then used her magic to entrap Brunnhilde within a mystical crystal of souls. Only relatively recently was Brunnhilde freed from Amora's spell.

The Enchantress seduced Skurge the Executioner into assisting her in many of her schemes over the years. But while the Executioner was so infatuated with the Enchantress that he would do anything for her, she continually withheld her favors from him to keep him in thrall.
